Role Profile

Event Coordinators are in charge of planning every aspect of an event, involved in each step from brainstorming ideas to bringing the curtain down at the end of the day. They are a key part of realising the client’s vision for the event, and ensure that everything goes smoothly both in the lead up and on the day of. As an Event Coordinator, you’ll need to be able to stay calm under pressure, ensuring that deadlines are met and everything needed is in place for the event.

However, as this the case with most best laid plans, something will inevitably go wrong! Avoiding this entirely is unrealistic, so Event Coordinators need to be able to recover from these slip ups and solve problems quickly. Being a great communicator, possessing solid computer skills and having the ability to liaise with clients will also help you to succeed in an Event Coordinator job.
